About Our Team
Aquasource Drilling has a rich history that began in 1983 when the owner’s father, Tim Hlavnicka, established Nicka Well Drilling in Choteau. In 2000, Tim rebranded the company, giving it the name Aquasource. Over the years, Tim built a strong reputation by drilling thousands of high-quality wells across North Central Montana. In pursuit of his dream to start another drilling company in SE Alaska, Tim left the business in 2014.
In the meantime, Tyrel, Tim’s son, had grown up in the water well industry and went on to study Petroleum Engineering, where he met his wife, Tobi. Equipped with degrees in Drilling Engineering and Construction Project Management, Tyrel and Tobi purchased Aquasource’s Montana assets in 2014. They re-incorporated as Aquasource Drilling in 2015 and relocated to the Great Falls area. Under their leadership, the company has flourished, expanding into deep water well drilling, full well pump service, and excavation.
